On November 4, a delegation of experts—including Dr. Günter Beyer from Germany, a renowned specialist in cable materials; Professors Alberto Frache and Rossella Arrigo from the Polytechnic University of Turin; Li Dinghua, Assistant Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Flame-Retardant Materials at Beijing University of Technology; and Chen Silu, Deputy Director of the Flame-Retardant Materials Center at the School of Materials—visited Hubei Kepuda Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. to engage in technical exchanges on low-smoke, halogen-free materials and related technologies. This exchange aims to strengthen international communication on technologies related to low-smoke, halogen-free materials, promote new materials, new technologies, and innovative solutions, enhance the quality of halogen-free materials, and foster the healthy development of the industry.

That morning, the attending experts visited the Kepuda factory in person to conduct an on-site inspection of the company’s production techniques and processes, gaining a more direct understanding of China’s technology for producing low-smoke, halogen-free materials as well as the current state of its development.

Ke Bin, Chairman of Kepuda, delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the arrival of the experts and formally announcing the start of the exchange. Kepuda first showcased the company’s technological achievements in low-smoke, halogen-free materials as well as the current state of the industry. Günter Beyer is a key guest at this exchange meeting. His main research areas include: polymer science, reactive extrusion, radiation crosslinking, flame retardancy, nanocomposites and other nanostructured flame-retardant additives, and cone-based... Calorimeter fire hazard and risk assessments. In 2009, he authored and published the book "Industry Guide to Polymer Nanocomposites," marking the first-ever application of nanotechnology in the industrial cable industry and earning him numerous awards as a result. During the seminar, he provided a detailed introduction to his research on ultrafine new materials and shared his insights. Flame-retardant material The application of relevant knowledge and cable testing technologies provided the attendees with valuable experience and insights.

Professors Alberto Frache and Rossella Arrigo from the Polytechnic University of Turin primarily focus on the engineering and science of nanocomposites and the processing of polymer flame-retardant materials. Rheology and shared insights on polymer processing and performance testing, delving deeply into cutting-edge technologies and development trends in the materials field, which sparked widespread interest among the attendees.

This exchange has promoted scientific and technological exchanges and innovative development in the field of halogen-free materials. This event was not only a feast of technology but also a grand gathering for the collision of ideas and win-win cooperation.
