As the traditional Dragon Boat Festival approaches, on the morning of May 27, under a bright and beautiful spring sky, the No. 5 Workshop of the Plastics Division within the Puda Company’s Plastics Business Unit set up an enormous cake along with some exquisite fruit pastries. At lunchtime, the workshop was filled with cheerful laughter and lively chatter, creating a truly festive atmosphere. Zhan Yi, General Manager of the Plastics Business Unit, and Mei Xiaoping, Executive Deputy General Manager, distributed cakes to every employee present, jointly celebrating the successful trial production following the technical upgrade of Workshop No. 5.

To keep pace with industry trends, seize the commanding position in the market, fully leverage the supporting role of technology, enhance product quality and brand value, and strengthen the company’s core competitiveness, Puda Company has been making every effort to boost its R&D and innovation capabilities, improve its product manufacturing hardware facilities, and promptly tailor personalized, feature-differentiated new materials to meet customer needs. At the beginning of this year, the General Materials Division formulated a plan for equipment upgrades and product enhancements. Under the guidance of the technical department and the equipment engineering department, the task force members tackled challenges with determination and perseverance. After countless trials and modifications, they finally succeeded in completing the equipment upgrades and achieving iterative product improvements.
This technical upgrade of the P5 workshop involved retrofitting and upgrading the original extruder with an environmentally friendly fume collection system, a feeding and mixing system, and a packaging system. As a result, issues such as fumes and material blockages in the packaging process have been effectively resolved, and the labor intensity for workers has been significantly reduced. Moreover, the quality of the processed products has improved compared to previous batches, with all testing indicators becoming more stable and controllable. Production capacity has also increased by more than 20%.
On May 27, when the first batch of polyethylene-based cable jacket material came off the production line, Ke Bin, Chairman of the company, organized managers from the company’s technical, quality inspection, equipment, and general materials departments to inspect the product’s appearance quality on-site. Based on tactile assessment and the inspection results provided by the quality control department, he confirmed that the product quality was fully compliant and that the technological upgrade had been a success. The launch of this product marks another milestone for Kepuda in terms of annual production capacity and brand reputation.
Keputa Company’s main products include eight major product lines comprising over 100 varieties: polyethylene-based optical cable jacket compounds, low-smoke, halogen-free flame-retardant polyolefin cable compounds, eco-friendly nylon jacket compounds resistant to rodents and ants, thermoplastic elastomer (TPU and TPE) cable compounds, and optical cable skeleton materials.
